Dear First Grade Spanish Track Families, 

Hope everyone is doing well! Here are a few updates:

I Classroom

1) Teacher Request – Donations Needed: Our teachers kindly ask for tissues and paper towels to help replenish classroom supplies. Please feel free to send the items in via your child for the teachers. Any help is greatly appreciated!

2) Upcoming Grocery Shopping Activity: As mentioned in the teachers’ newsletter and just a heads-up for families:
Each homeroom will participate in a hands-on “shopping event” with Ms. Stowe as part of the Social Studies unit on economics (needs vs. wants, goods & services). One class will shop starting Fri, Apr 25, and the other the following Mon, Apr 28.

a) City BBQ Spirit Night: Apr 24, 11am-8pm (Mention GLOBE/PTCC or use code “GIVE”; RSVP here) Dine in, take out, drive-thru, or order online from City BBQ (Blackmon Dr. location) and 20% of proceeds will be donated to GLOBE!

b) Atlanta United Game: Sat, May 17 @ 7:30pm Tickets here; Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the school.

– Auction Fire Sale + GLOBE Shirts: Still available: amazing deals from the silent auction + Give A Hoot t-shirts! Items include tutoring, drum lessons, orthodontics, and more. Shop here

2) Summer Language Camp 2025: This year, there will be one language track per week due to space limitations during relocation. Dates: June 9 (Mandarin), June 16 (French), June 23 (Spanish). [View details here.] Registration is now open, click here!

3)  Volunteers Needed!

– Spring Event Volunteers – Help with AANHPI Month celebrations. Email PTCC Officers to sign up.

– Join a PTCC PAC Committee – Parents are needed for Community & Fundraising PACS. Contact PTCC Officers for more details.
